One of the other problems with usx is there dispatching is very inept... They couldn't dispatch a load on time if their lives depended on it and then blame the driver routinely for the loads being late how do I know that because I work for him years ago for nearly two and a half years and I tell you those folks in Chattanooga they bring clueless to a whole new level

Don't worry about it bro...
Just get your experience for right nowPuppage Thanks this. -
Oh, I don't worry about it.Just wanted to compare with what I make.Me, last week 2369 miles ,$1437.I think it took me 4 days as I was lazy going back to Chicago.Admittedly it was a good run with 6 stops and 5 h detention.20 months of experience,1099 East European company from Chicagoland.Btw I would probably become insane if I stayed in the truck for 60 days not to mention 90.Last edited: Jun 28, 2016

theres no way working off a 1099 makes any financial sense. Even if you could make more I doubt one could compensate for 10 paid holidays, 6 personal days, 3 weeks vacation and the rest of the missing benefits. Here's my 4 and a half day week that only had me out 3 nights. 2,600 miles at .44cpm and stop pay, $15 for each and everyone. This is out of Iowa and the 2016 average is $1,417 a week.

Probably not but mind I don't even have 2 years experience yet. It's not a pissing contest but yeah I do make more than you do but I most likely work more than you do.

I wasn't trying to be contentious. I just hate to see people settling for less than they deserve and many do. There's too many drivers thinking it's a lifestyle and not a job. That's fine but ultimately it's a dead end. No one can retire off of memories. The Patriot Thanks this.

Thank you ,I do indeed feel underpaid but on the other hand I always feel like this. And yes I am very well aware it is a job a serious one too.
The Patriot Thanks this. -
Try driver temp companies like Prodrivers...Driver's Management and others.

Exactly!
I see so many drivers around the truck stops looking defeated like zombies because they get in that groove of crap pay....crap runs and never home...then accept it as a 'lifestyle'.
Driving can be a great career but you have to play hardball and NEVER settle for less....Start by sticking a middle finger up at the megas...no matter what they say or promise.
