I only do that when there's no choice. I move as far back as I can not to taunt drivers, but if I see another Bob tail searching I tell him to park in front of me if he wants. Or we switch order depending on which of us is leaving first.

Maybe he was saving a spot for his load swap that was due in at a time when parking would be scarce. And don't tell me this is not acceptable. This is a necessity today when repowers must be done frequently, especially during the middle of the week when parking after 18:00 is especially problematic

That said, if this is not the case, then I don't approve of this behavior but I'll have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This business is like any other. You can't please everyone. And sometimes you make enemies. To those I personally have offended with parking and other matters, my apologies.

Wait a minute........why would a load swap require a parking spot......? Most of those are turn- arounds right? ......

Well, one may be, the other may not.
Also, it might take 1-3 hours for the swap to show up.

UPS, FED EX, and the list goes on of companies that do load swaps everyday without tying up a t/s parking spot.

So what if it's a "turn-around"? Either driver may be in the middle of or need to do a 30 or an 8 or 10. You want them dropping trailers and parking in the aisles?

I had to do a swap the other night. Load I picked up (d/h) got a late start due to an 17:00 walmart unload 50 miles away. Arrived at the swap point at 04:00 and had to break then and there. Early driver paid for two spots. We utilize paid spots when available but otherwise, we'll do what we have to do.

Ha! It’s not acceptable in the least. I got two drivers thrown out of a truckstop not long ago for just that. Taking up four spaces.

Taking up spaces from paying customers.

I went over and riled them up good. Then it was funny that they argued when the manager and security showed up. That REALLY did it.

They want to re-power, their boss can lease an open lot like a businessman is supposed to do.
