I'm at some little hole in the wall truck stop in Juda Oasis, WI outside of Monroe. Picking up in Monroe in the morning bound for Front Royal. Barely even a cell signal here and the truck stop closes at 10pm. I hope they don't roll up the sidewalk when they leave.

 

am at the mom and pop truckstop in Delta OH just off the Turnpike.....on my way to Target for the 12 and an early am delivery.....(can I park there? and do they have lumpers?)
I had to get a new Rewards card today from Pilot Flying J cause my old one was just worn out and wouldn't read anymore....good thing is I still have all myy points and showers....

Notez I was at one of those hole in the wall ones last night in NY...it was nice and quiet at least....I was the only truck there til the late morning....

 

no lumpers for target at cedar falls.... that's a nice little run, i did it once

 

Oh an another note Coming across NY on I86 the NYDOT were out at a rest area.....(cant remember where) and all trucks had to enter....I got the roll on thru cause all the inspectors were busy......NICE!!! but just beware...

 

Yep, thats normal along that road, i live not too far from there.

 

Yesterday I had the last two stops of a four stop delivery and the customer switched the delivery times on me without notifying dispatch. I noticed the new times and that they switched the last stop to first thing in the morning. Anyway, first one was at 0700 and second was supposed to be at 1700. Notice the problem? Luckily, the last stop got me unloaded at 1430 so I could make it down the road before my 14 hr clock ran out.

Cherry on top of that is I get a message today that I'm being paid an additional $75 detention on top of the $300 I was already guaranteed for layover....WOOHOO!

 

Well. I tried to outsmart the system and get to US Cold in Minooka early.. Got there about 7, got a door about 1130 and was out by 1... kinda burned myself on being able to get back to Sioux City today. Oh well... I'm tired as frack too, think I might be getting sick with something.. (God, I hope not)

 

trying to outsmart the system gets you burned sometimes....Ive tried it too...but sometimes it turns out golden for ya.....

sitting at a Road Ranger pilot off of I380/20 on the south side of waterloo about 14 miles from my cons (target)...I started looking around outside my truck...they really really need to clean this place up....there is a chunk of watermelon...a bunch of diabetic test strips and a couple hypodermic needles just sitting on the ground in the parking lot....how nasty is that...

 

Is that a rhetorical question? Cuz if it's not I'd like to answer; that's pretty #### nasty. How'd the watermelon taste?

 

I don't want to know how that watermelon tasted.....but it looks like the flies love it though....blech.....its no wonder we are not allowed to stay at more places...
