the southern route using i 70 and i68.......I avoided all the toll roads....only difference was that the toll route was going to save me 20 minutes....really wasn't worth dealing with the ohio construction....which would have slowed me down....not to mention the construction west of Joliet is a pain too...always traffic backups
Its a good thing I stopped when I did.... it took me longer than expected to get here because of construction on 270 and 495 around DC not to mention Traffic....

hell with that... I-68 clearly has to be the worst interstate for trucks on this side of the Mississippi!! So you went I-64 to WV then up 79 to 68 then to 70??
-
no I left NE and jumped on 80 to 74-70-79-68-70 Ive been down 68 before...it just really really sucks....either way though I would have had some hill climbing to do probably not as much but it still sucked balls....I think I will stick with the PA turnpike...

UGGG I hate Lumpers......first you HAVE to pay them...then they take their sweet ### time....hey knuckleheads I have another appointment....I can't sit here all #### night.......I think I may be late for my next appointment...its at 9 in Jersey...but it 4 now....plus 2.5hr drive (at least and not counting baltimore traffic)......yeah I thinks me's going to be a little short...I got hours although my 14 hour clock is eating them right now.....

I'm in a loaner truck which I'm going home in and then back to Sheldon to get mine back. I won't post the truck number in case anybody knows this guy. But his truck smells like a stale ashtray and he's a bit of a pig. Although I'm a bit of a clean freak in comparison.

Lol dont feel bad, right before i moved into this truck, they had the truck "detailed" at eddies because the lady who usually does it was out, and it needed a bit more work, (lets just say eddie's is far from being the cream of the crop when it comes to any quality of workmanship)getting loaded here at friendship, ny to jessup md for a 4am drop, should be interesting. I might take my 10 hrs or use the 8/2 split sleeper on the way there, unless anyone knows of the perishible warehouse has any parking or staging area? If thats the case i might bet down there tonite.

yeah, they got a staging lot.. and after you get unloaded you can go back up and park on the side of the street across from Sysco

Finally got in last nite, the put me in a dock 2 hours early, and got to work on me as soon as i backed in....bad news, it kinda screws up my plan to have my 8hr sleeper by the time i'm empty, since my 14 was up an hour after i pulled into staging, and the qc kept screaming the 14 hr warning at me the whole time i was manuevering into the dock. Plus the guard told me i would have to leave once i was done, which means ill have to go line 5. I can bet cory and josh aint gonna be pleased with me not being done with dot break until noon, oh wellll.....

I south plainfield NJ......I love the halls warehouse here...cause you can check in and park upto 24 hours in advance...no lump fees...plus you can stay until your break is up.....
enicolasy Thanks this. -
Home for a couple of days after 5.5 hours to get unloaded at my last stop, Central Grocers. After I was sitting for two hours I asked if I could get some kind of estimate and I'm told, we don't give time estimates. So I asked why it was so important for me to be on time for my appointment then? 10 minutes later they start unloading. I have $200 loaded onto EFS Check to pay lumpers because I figure its taking so long, they must be breaking down and restacking pallets. Nope, they just unloaded the 19 pallets and charge $45. Well if that is all they did, why in the hell did it take 5.5 hours?
I sent a message when I got home to update my plans for relaunch on Thursday and to remind Angie of my upcoming vacation. To which she replies that she doesn't remember me mentioning anything about my vacation. Mic, if I remember correctly, you were sitting right next to me when I told her that I had a vacation scheduled before I accepted this position and Tim approved it prior to me starting. I'll call this morning and try to get it straightened out. I will be taking the second week of August off no matter what since I've prepaid for the lakehouse in Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
