Do you think you need a doubles endorsement for this combination vehicle?

Lee-Hi has always been a quality truck stop, unless you mean they have repaved the lot and replaced them showers it's always been one of the best truck stops on all of 81!!

I think being only 1 horse power, it'll have a bit of trouble up the hills.

    Hi all

first I would like to thank you guys for such a great thread, I have read pretty much all of it front to back.

Secondly, and this mainly falls for Mic and notez I guess... I am looking at either going to your former employer for training and experience or I may go to a school and just get my training so I do not have the time commitment over my head. Really would like your opinions on things from that perspective (I recall one of you saying you went through the school of theirs).

Third, does anyway know the likelyhood of getting on with VW as a recent grad of a really good cdl school? They def seem like a company that is worth making a career with. In addition to that, I would like to know if anyone has experience with splitting their hometime between two locations (such as IN and KS)?

Thanks in advance for your responses, stay safe all!

With my former employer I had no problem splitting hometime...VW I have had a little problem...mostly because we don't go to florida.... If your former military you could do Roehls school for FREE and not have to indenture yourself into servitude...otherwise call Tim @VW to see...we do take some fresh from school people..........but we really are not a training company per se...we have like 2 whole trainers...but it never hurts to ask...

Sitting at my shipper in chy town for early pick up....they got me in right away...but this place is a PIA to back into....lots of things to hit plus have to button hook around a wall post to line up the dock on top of backing into a big black hole....can't wait to get out of here was hoping I would have enough time to make it home for the night...but I am going to run real short....

Today has been an interesting day to say the least. 648 miles in 10.5 hours and stopped for night in Oakwood, IL. An hour into my drive through WV mountains my check engine light comes on so I find a place to pull over. Open the hood and oil everywhere...WTF! Oil filler cap is missing and I know this had to have just happened. Truck was serviced about a week ago in Sheldon and I've driven to Virginia since then with no problems and have checked under the hood on every pre and post trip like a good little driver. Anyway, its way early so nothing I can really do about it now. So I stuff a rag in the hole and zip tie a plastic cup over the opening and motor on. Stop at two cummins dealers and they don't have the cap. Finally get one at a Volvo dealer in Lexington, KY of all places. Put it on and check engine light goes out so I top the oil off and head down the road.

About an hour later I get a message to call Mike...ut oh, what did I do...LOL! So I call and he asks how I'd feel about being moved to another dispatcher to which I asked if there is something wrong. Not at all he says, just trying to rebalance the work load a bit. So now I have Sherry who've I've talked to in the past and she seems pretty nice and laid back.

Have to be in Des Moines at 0800 tomorrow and then probably head to Sheldon to switch out this trailer. The Green OK light on the reefer does not work.
