Have a great vacation mushroom. Manassas it's home for me. I hope they get me there for my 34 restart. Sitting at Waynesboro yard now. Delivering a load I swapped with another driver going to Walmart DC in Gordonsville. That's my turf lol. Grew up in that area. Mic I Hope you start feeling better. Sorry if I'm late. Been running my had of lol. Learning some of these new places it's quite , such as Americans in Fogelsville, PA. Hmm wish I had known the detour lol. But I made it there 7 minutes late but they unloaded me fairly quickly. No complaints with anyone yet. I'm sure it's coming though. I probably just stuck my foot in my mouth. Lol you guys have A safe week and drive safe.

Over by Butte MT...tracking excellent on time....its just going to suck coming back to the house from Seattle....FYI although US 212 is 50 miles shorter...I was told to avoid it for the time being (especially at night) due to construction and Wildfires....(and not to mention the motorcycles from sturgis but thats over this weekend)....
On another note....some ####### planted a Pipebomb on 34 near sturgis designed to maim and kill...what the hell is wrong with people these days...jesus...we don't need IEDs here too #### it...

So I broke my Beacon seal today. Somehow, in five years of driving, I've never gotten a tractor wash at a proper truck wash. 757 was looking kinda poopy on the outside, and I cleaned the living crap out of the inside yesterday, so I called Doug and got approval. Shiny and nice (and somehow, I was the only truck at the Streakin' Beakin' in Walcott, IA).

Just one problem. Apparently, I also broke a crud seal that was keeping a hairline fracture on my fuel tank from gushing fuel. At the end of the day, I fueled up at the Pilot in Crawfordsville, IN and topped off the tanks, and then went doodling about the internet. A knock came on my door about an hour later. I got up front and rolled down the window. "Hey, man...I think you're leaking fuel!"

    You ain't kiddin', mister.

On top of the tank, in the middle, there's a receiver plate welded to the tank were the crossover valves are installed. You can see it when you're fueling. Turns out, when there's a break in that weld and you top up the tank (passenger side, in this case) the liquid line is above that weld. There was a small river of fuel forming and making its way across the lot. I would have smelled it, but it's beautiful and cool, and there's a fresh breeze wicking away any stagnant air. Long story short, because it's a Pilot, they didn't have anything even resembling an oil pan, so I had to make due first with my 2 gallon jug of kitty litter (for triage), then with what un-soaked quick dry there was in their barrel (because apparently some dumb schmuck decided it was a good idea to clean up used quick dry and put it back in the barrel), and then with two more fresh bags the (genuinely) cool maintenance dude found in their back room.

All told, I think I lost about 15 gallons, and the Great Quick Dry Dunes of Crawfordsville now span five parking spots including mine. I'm applying for national park status. The flood has stemmed to a trickle, so I believe the fact that I idled all the way through the clean-up process helped staunch the hemorrhaging.

So when there's a big sandy cruddy stain at the east end of the Crawfordsville Pilot lot the next time you're in there, you'll know where it's from.

That wouldnt be you that i saw sweeping up the quick dry when i pulled in was it? I assumed it was one of the pilot employees doing that, i usually dont try to go waking up other drivers just because they have the same name on the truck, plus i had just got done cramming 640 miles of driving into my 11 hours, and i was in a rather grumpy, #####y mood from dealing with tourist traffic(is it me, or does the public seem to be getting stupider by the minute??), delivering this stuff out of storm lake by 1 am sunday in va.

Saienga...thats just too #### funny....considering diesel fuel is worth Gold right now!!!....Oh and spyder you don't know the half of it...I think when people go on vacation they stuff their head up their 4th point of contact while driving.....uggg I am out in Kalispell MT near Glacier Natl Park, Not to mention had to go through Rapid City the other day...and OMG people are just plain stupid ....too busy looking around to drive...almost had a 2 wheeler merge into me on 90 in Rapid city cause he was too busy screwing with his phone to see the big blue truck next to him (and yes it was a 2 wheeler not 4) then tonight I had one that wanted to do 25 up hill on me so I had to constantly shift down just to not run him over going UP hill....grrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah i know, i had one birdbrain almost swerve into me....typing on his phone while reading from what looked to be a notebook or papers. I gave him a blast of the airhorn to warn him and backed off, he quickly threw all of his stuff onto the passenger seat and drove looking straight ahead like he got caught lol

That was me. The Pilot guy had other stuff on his hands. He brought out the kitty litter and the broom in the golf cart, but I'm pretty sure he was the only one keeping up the showers, and with the weekend warriors out like flies, I'm sure other stuff was crying for TLC, too. Besides, I was the one spilling it, makes sense I work on soaking it up. I did notice you parked up at the south end of the lot this morning, I just didn't know who it was...and yeah, if I don't see a face in the commander's chair, I take that as a "do not disturb".

FYI, if anybody gets a load to Costco in Monrovia, MD...there's no overnight parking onsite, even though they've got the typical 50 truck bull pen. Apparently somebody in upper management at this DC is a douche bag. BUT, there's street parking and a big ol' cul-de-sac to turn around in. Just don't park on the east side of the street. West side only. West side for life.
