Thanks for the heads up Spyder. I'm trying to decide if I want to take a full 10 before I check in our just check in at 5. I can split my time if I get out at 6:40. We will see what happens. I guess I will call it a night. Two of my fellow co-workers are here so maybe I will get to meet someone finally lol.

I think i met you coming down 81 early Kev right before you got into Scranton... did you run into a backup at the NY State Line?? And don't worry, don't be in a rush, Waynesboro don't get in until 8 and start figuring things out until 830 to 9.. so just take it easy

I didn't hit any traffic on 81. It was pretty smooth sailing for me. I did see a couple of trucks heading south though. This Sysco is nice but I don't like the water tower wall in front of the docks. I had to reset myself up due to the wall. Next time I will have it set up the first time lol. Other than that it's cool here. Pretty peaceful. No one bugged me and it was super quiet except for the reefers running.

In Boise ID...got loaded extra early...but could do nothing with it...other than go to the TA and get my break knocked out.....its really smokey here due to the wildfires...so I have to Idle the truck to filter the air otherwise I would suffocate because of all the smoke....(I am out of hours otherwise I would move)...

I'm back on the road. Picked up packaging for Blue Bunny in Elk Grove Village yesterday and delivered to Le Mars this morning. Now on my 10 and pick up at Blue Bunny this evening for a run to Gordonsville, VA for a Thurs delivery. Looks like I'll be running the overnight just as I did last night. I'd really like to get off nights, I don't sleep well during the day.
Anyway, sitting at the Le Mars Truck Stop. Hot and muggy here today. -
Finally Notez your back to work...geez....I am still in boise...taking off tonight so I can make my hours work for me...LOL..

So I had a decision to make today and it apparently was the wrong one.
Picked up this load Tuesday night in Le Mars, IA and informed dispatch yesterday morning at 0700 that there was no way I would make the 1730 appt on Thursday in Gordonsville, VA. No matter how I figured it, I would be about 2.5 hrs short. I'm told to keep moving with it and they'll try to get it repowered somewhere. This morning I stop in Beckley, WV at 0730 and call in to find out what is going on as I only have 1 hour and 24 mins left of drive time. Told that its still being worked on. Okay, well I tell her that I'm gonna keep rolling as I have just barely enough time to get to the Flying J in Ft. Chiswell, VA. I knew I didn't have time to keep rolling down 64E to get to the next truck stop. Just was not gonna happen. I roll onto Ft. Chiswell. Arrive with 2 minutes left and call in to check in again. Cory tells me that I shouldn't have went that way because its at least an 100 miles out of route. First of all, its only 69 miles out of route and I didn't have time to keep rolling the other way. I figured it was best to get on 81 to make it easier for another driver to grab the load. He disagrees and says I should have just stayed in Beckley because I had enough time from there to make the delivery. He says this after he admits he hasn't looked at my logs. I decided to just drop it and not argue with him about it because it was pointless. I knew what I was doing and he knew yesterday that this load needed to be repowered. Since I didn't get any instruction, I decided what to do. Apparently I was wrong.
So anyway, I'm sitting at the J on my 10 and have asked to please get me off the night driving. I understand that it comes with the territory from time to time, but three days in a row and I'm exhausted. My body just can't seem to adjust.
