Well that's sucks, but yes 703 definitely is a beast going up hills. If it's a steep grade, then of course I have to downshift, but not like with 756. A lot of times I can just pull up the hills w/o downshifting at all. I don't think you're a know it all my friend. You just know your stuff is all. I appreciate the info though.

To the person who is going to be picking up a load from Front Royal heading to Sioux City, IA, I'm sorry but that load stinks. I was shafted Friday into going to pick that load up from Smithfield, VA. I've been there before working with Werners Chep Pallet Division, but never had to haul anything meat wise out of there, just pallets. I don't know what it was they loaded on there, but it wreaked something terrible. Not only did it seem to leak a bit, but it leaked and got on the back of my truck, which now smells like funky old un-washed open ###! I will be having this thing washed as soon as I can, or when it's not raining. I was supposed to just head back to Front Royal after my delivery in Prince George, VA, which was my first brokered load, but Josh asked me to pick up a load in Gordonsville, then called me back before I left, and asked if I could pick up the load from Smithfield, which also was a brokered load. I should've said "No!", but me being the nice guy that I am, I took it. Got to Smithfield at 3pm, didn't get out of there until 6pm, which was good because I needed that 2hr break to get me some hours back after I took my 8. But by the time I stopped and got fuel, which turned into an almost hour ordeal, I didn't make it to Waynesboro until 11:30, then didn't get home until 1am. So I wasn't too thrilled about that, but hey it is what it is.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday, working or not. Be safe out there. I'm here in Friendship, NY picking up a load going to Jessup, MD.

Today was a little frustrating at this Sysco in Fremont, CA. I know, Sysco so I shouldn't be surprised. I arrive at 0900 for my 1000 appointment and check in. $200 lumper fee for 8 pallets, what a rip off! They also took forever to unload. After 3 hours, I go inside to find out WTF? "Oh, we've been done for about an hour, your bills are over there." Thanks for letting me know!

I drive an hour out to the Love's in Ripon so I can sit until my 0500 delivery tomorrow in downtown San Francisco. Traffic going the opposite direction on 580 was very heavy and I'm glad I wasn't going that way...LOL!

Looked at my consignee on Google Maps a little closer and its gonna be interesting. From what I can tell their docks face the street and are only about 30 feet from the center of the street. Hmm, guess I'll be blocking traffic.

It's always fun going deep into the guts of the city & it keeps your backing skills sharp! Did you make that hole in one shot? How did you fare on a reload?

I'm sitting in Gilroy and still sick. Asked to sit the day out and rest. They didn't have a backhaul for me anyway. Now I see that my secondary air guage on the dash isn't working. Trailer air works as well as brakes so don't know what the deal is with it. I guess I'll wait and call it in to Sheldon in the morning and get delayed more waiting for repair.

Got up here to warners, ny, had the main glass part of the right hand mirror fall off on the way up, pitch black out, so no idea where it landed, fortunately i still had the convex part of it on there, but made things really tricky getting throug syracuse, after the problem with the starter and the people in the sheldon terminal accusing me of not having the truck serviced in a year, i'm starting to think my truck is possessed. Anyone know where to find an exorcist?

Spyder, I felt the same way about 756 always something with that truck. I'm also here at Warners, and hoping to be off Friday since it is my Birthday. I'll be 31, and I don't even look 31 that's the great thing lol. Hope everyones week is going good aside from the rain in the east.

Notez, I sure hope you get better soon. It is not fun to be ill while driving a truck or being in a truck and not at home getting well. Hang in there, I'm sure it'll pass soon.
