Welp this guy is back in the saddle from a nice little get away to So Cal, just wish our football team would've put up a better game against UCLA! I must say from all the fairy tales about how great The Rose Bowl is I was expecting the Utopia of college football but I was kinda disappointed. And it seemed to me that most of the people from UCLA were there merely as a social event and to "be seen" rather than watch a ball game. Other than that it was a very good and I realized that having my wife in the car trying to navigate while flying through LA traffic is very annoying. As she was using the GPS she wouldn't say exit numbers, street names & all of the other things we use on a daily basis she just said I'll tell you when to turn. Well this turned into take this exit in 1/8 of a mile when I'm over in the Hammer Lane on the 405 or about 2 feet from the turn at the next light. I looked over and while we were driving she would be on Facebook or Twitter instead of watching directions, so I made up some BS story of needing a 10-100 and bought a #### atlas of LA. On Monday night we ended up getting bumped from our connection flight in Minneapolis to Omaha since it was overbooked and had to stay the night and catch the 0630 flight the next morning. Luckily Delta took care of us and gave us a voucher to stay at the Hilton by the airport and gave each of us $400 flight vouchers. It absolutely baffles me how a flight can be overbooked, you know how many seats are on the aircraft so only sell that many!!!!! Dale got me hooked up with a nice load out of Dakota City on Tuesday with a stop in Albertville, AL on Thursday morning and final out in Abingdon on Friday. The ride on US 431 from Huntsville down to Albertville is a pretty nice ride, not what I was expecting just leaving Huntsville though. It started with steep hills and tight winding curves in narrow lanes which really had me second guessing the route, but was soon on flat wide roads again. Everyboby have a safe week and we'll see ya on the road!

Sitting at the J on the east side of Rapid City....I deliver in the morning.....I did spot a possible area to park via sattilite...but didn't want to risk getting kicked out of there since I would have to burn the last few minutes of drive time I had just to get there....so I grabbed a shower and a bite to eat....not too terrible of a place....just looks a little run down on the outside...but overall decent....

Well...outof 741 and into the double bunked 840. Nice little upgrade. Not yet 90,000 miles on her. The fun part was swapping trucks with Jeff at the Wal-Mart in Rochester mn. The inverter posed a special hassle, and I almost zapped myself before succumbing to doing it the hard way and pulling off the fairing to get at the battery box.
So here we are. And I'm pleased to say that I consolidated enough to have free space for a student...even before I build some space dividers to up the efficiency of the storage. Off to front royal in the morning.
I also just got a galaxy s3, and boy...from a dumb phone to this is one heck of a shift. It's really sweet though. No need to buy a stand alone GPS. -
TMaking my first 4 am drop in fargo at nash finch, made sure to have cash on hand for the lumper, and told they do not take cash for the lumper service, and craig tells me i have to wait till 6 am for a check...someone is not going like me too much when i go to make that 6 am call....

how in the hell do you get this coolant reservoir cap off??? do you tap it clock wise or counter-clockwise??
-
Counter clockwise, sounds like a mechanic torqued it on too tight?
-
and that is why when I know I am going to a grocery warehouse or even something that sounds like one I get my EFS loaded so I can write a check....I am pretty stuck on getting 200....that covers most lumper fees......
and Sai...the Galaxy S3 is the bomb.....it does just about everything....and I have had smartphones forever (Used to be a Sprint Technician)......
