I didn't have to cross any special bridges. I went down Rt. 711 to Pleasant Drive and that took me right into Woods Way, straight into the Correctional Facility and followed the signs to the meat plant. It was pretty simple once I got there. Also wasn't a bad place to get unloaded at. Security Guard or Corrections Officer was kind of a jerk, but I think he was just doing his job. No cavity searches thank God LOL

sitting at the mothership (sheldon) picked up in Mitchell and dropped in Lemars.....bobtailed to sheldon......and actually got my first hard brake cause my wheel was spinning and I hit the brake....
....oh well I will just explain it to tim in the morning I guess....Truck needs service....plus going to have them check out my tire.....
FYI I am sitting next to what looks like a brand spanking new Freightliner Cascadia with a midroof.....at least it doesn't have super singles...so I wonder how they ride with duals...I had one that had singles...I liked it for a bit...but it bobbed and weaved so #### much It would make you sick.... -
I hated the Cascadias, maybe the ones here would be nicer, but the one I drove with C. R. England was junk. I've never been a Freight Shaker person anyway. I'd like to get out of this dang KW and into a Volvo, but I doubt that would happen. I do have 406K on it though so I will keep it until they snatch it up from me. I am, however, sitting at Truck Enterprise here in Harrisonburg, having my truck checked out. They are backed up as usual so I may be here for awhile, which means I think I will have someone pick me up and take me home. No need in me sitting here, when I can be sitting on my ### at home! Hope everyone has a great weekend if you're off.

You would of had to cross the bridge if you came from State Route 6... for anyone who is curious to know what so special about this bridge, it's a low one lane bridge with no sides that crosses over the James River, yes the same James River that flows through the city of Richmond... now that I think of it you was probably to heavy to go across that bridge.....
And the whole deal with the Volvo, I wouldn't count on it, the old ones are getting turned back in and those guys are getting into the New Ones except for the new hires who got a Volvo recently who'll probably end up getting someones old KW after one of those guys move into a Volvo -
oh ok, well I didn't have to go over that bridge, I came in on the other side. well I guess I can count the volvo out, and stick with my KW. It's all good hopefully this will be the last time for awhile that I'll have to have this truck in the shop.

I've been home since Monday afternoon and its been a hell of a week. My father had a heart attack on Sunday morning which in turn required a Double Bypass Surgery. He's doing fine and coming home late this afternoon. Coincidently, my truck has been at the KW dealer in South Bend, IN since Monday to have the Turbo mounts replaced. There were some issues with getting the parts and they ended up having to wait for them to come from factory. Finally fixed last night. However, I'm staying home tonight as well because my Mother has asked me to help getting my Dad home this afternoon and settled.
I never thought my Dad would be this old and unwell. He was an Union Auto Worker for 37 years but got screwed out of his pension by greedy corporate financial "wizards." They live a very simple, meager retirement. Anyway, its true that you never really appreciate your parents until you can see less days ahead than behind. Make sure you tell your family how much you care and love them every chance you get. It may be your last.
As for the Cascadias, I hope I don't ever have to drive one of those cheap plastic crap boxes again. I had one as a loaner for two weeks at my old carrier and hated the thing. Way too much hard cheap plastic inside and I hated that I could barely reach the passenger seat. I had to sit everything on the floor next to the driver's seat. And Mic is right, it handles like a lumbering ox going down the road. I felt like I was driving a bus. -
Buses drive better than the Cascadia! I should know I've driven enough of them in my life lol

Well there were 3 more getting stickers put on them in the shop.....but they are definitely nicer than the one at my old carrier....and here they won't do super singles...no one likes them...these cascadias have all the bells and whistles.....
I am still sitting getting truck fixed....the dossier valve needed replaced....plus the dpf needs cleaning....got new steers and a new used drive tire though!!! So o more leaky dual...... after that I have to give her a bath..cause she has been a bug destroyer over the last month!!! -
Been here at Truck Enterprise since 7:30 am and still here....they haven't even gotten it into the shop yet. They just pulled up to the doors to check the codes. They don't have any room in the shop to work on it. Also they are telling me that they wont even be able to look into it until 2nd shift, and even then it's still not going out today. Apparently 732 has the same issue and it's still here, so lord only knows what's going to happen...I need someone to either come get me or something. Let me go home instead of sitting here. There are things I could do around my house rather than sit here alone. I'm getting a tad bit irritated by sitting, and not being able to go anywhere. I might have to call a family member to come get me and take me home.
I think at this point I would take one of the Cascadias and get me some bungie cords to hold me in the seat! But I'm sure the Cascadias here are a lot nice and probably will run a lot better than C. R. Englands. -
We're getting Cascadia's, news to me!
