Been home since Friday and supposed to head out tomorrow but no load assignment so far. Was told to call in the morning and check to see what is available. I really hope its not another late afternoon pick up in Chicago.

Had a great weekend though. Two of our greatest friends got married yesterday in a beautiful ceremony and the reception was wonderful. The Groom is a construction worker and rides his Harley until the snow falls. He is quite possibly the craziest guy I know and he lived up to it at the wedding. Formal tux for the ceremony and afterward he takes off is jacket to reveal the surprise. His tux shirt hand no sleeves and he had just the cuffs to hang out jacket sleeves. He looked like a Chippendale Dancer. Funniest wedding prank I've seen in years...LOL!

OK, so I have decided to go West this week after just doing the Northeast! Well, Norman called me this morning to inform me that there was a mix up with loads apparently and that the information Cory had given me wasn't quite right. So instead of being a drop and hook at White Wave, I now have to live load from Interchange Storage here in Harrisonburg. Well, been here since about 4PM, and no door yet. This load goes to Cedar Falls, IA to the Target. Anyone ever been there? Any info on lumping fees? I'm hoping to get by Sheldon to have them repair some things on my truck. Such as the arm rests which are jacked up since I got into it, the mirrors which never worked when I got in the truck, the check engine light that's constantly on and it pulls to the right a lot. I'm just doomed with bad trucks. So let's hope I get by Sheldon on my way west. Any info on that Target would be appreciated. Hope every has had a great weekend. hopefully I will like going west.

Haven't been to Target in Cedar Falls in awhile but there is lumper fees, don't remember how much though. They stick to their appointments and you'll be in and out quickly. They really don't fool around. There is a small lot in front of gate that you can sit for awhile if you get their early. There is also a Casey's General Store at the exit just east that has truck parking.

Thank you for the info notez! I don't plan on being early. I have a 1400 appt time. and I'm just now getting loaded at the shipper here in Mt. Crawford. So Night driving for me it is! I will drive until I get tired. I won't kill myself for anyones shipment. I love life too much to die at such an early age! LOL

Whats nice about target too is that you don't open your doors...you back in and they have their docks designed for all doors to be closed and opened by dock personel.....the last time I was there I didn't get hit for lumpers....but its up to the shipper really....they might have prepaid for them....but yeah they are quick in and out....also you can drive from the target to the walmart without going on to the drive line.....

meanwhile I am STILL sitting at tyson....the loaders just showed up....so much for hurrying to get here....I hate misinformation...

Kev, you'll like running out west... it's just the thing about getting home on the weekend i don't like. Since you have a delivery on the West side of the Mississippi on a Tuesday more then likely you'll make it back home on Saturday... Easy running, this trip i've been on has been a good one for the most part, it's a change of scenery from running up and down 95/81

By the way i seen you last week in Warners, i was the heavier set gentleman with the glasses on who was parked right next to you, was going to speak but seems as you was kinda in a hurry when i was talking to the other guys...

Well this load is the load that keeps on giving...or should I say pissing me off.....
First I sat for about 30 hours in columbus Junction IA waiting on this load to get finished....which it did...AT the DDT.....UGGG...I get to the Cons...and they reject 2 of the combos for too high of Core Temp....So Now I sit and Wait for Tyson to find a home for these turds.....
Oh and I am only about 2 hours from home....which would be nice to see my kids...but no one knows...not even Dale whether I am planned for another load or not....UGGG....on top of that I have had only 3 hours of sleep in the last 30 because of Tyson and waiting around...(cant sleep 30 hours...I tried...I just couldn't)....

Well, it'll be nice if I don't get hit up by the Lumpers, but hey if I do, it's all good I will just get an EFS Check and pay for it. Usually I pay for the Lumpers and just get reimbursed, but not this week, I'm keeping my money in my pocket LOL. Yes, this weekend has apparently been "Misinformation Weekend". But what can you do besides vent and just keep it moving. I'm here off of I-80/I-90 at the Flying J in OH at exit 71 waiting to get all my hours back. Looks like I'm going to be early after all, just means I can stop somewhere and get a shower. This place looks like a hell hole inside, and I refuse to use their showers LOL. Went in last night to check it out, and being as it was 5AM you would think they would be clean and have fresh food...yeah right! Never again am I coming to this crap hole!

Hawk, so far I like coming West, except for being delayed at the shipper forever last night. got there at 4PM, didn't get out of there until almost 8:30. But I still managed to get out of there before the other guys that were there before me left. I originally didn't want to come back out until Monday, but Cory said he needed me, so like the sucker I am I gave in LOL. You could have spoke, I just am the type of guy who like to keep moving. I don't like sitting around. I wasn't in a hurry, I felt cruddy, and I wanted to wash myself. I didn't feel like I smelled so kosher LOL. Next time I will come by and say hello. I can't remember your truck number, but I will remember your face. I think it was a Van Wyk Meeting that day at Warners.

Depending on when I get back home will determine when I tell them I'm coming back out. They are usually pretty good, but I know I want to get some stuff on my truck fixed, so hopefully I get to Sheldon to have them check out some stuff on the truck. Maybe I should call Angie now and let her know.
