Regarding the storm that is supposed to hit NJ Monday, well it will be a mess if they're right. NY state is already talking about closing all major bridges on Sunday? As most of us know who travel that route quite frequently, those folks can't drive when the sun is out, much less when you have 40+ mph wind and torrential rain. We'll see how it goes, but I can't see much sense driving into a potential dangerous situation. Be safe to those of you who may be heading in that direction.

It all depends on what the winter air does to the hurricane. If you saw the movie "a perfect storm", that storm was the same. A winter storm collided with a hurricane and went all roid-rage. Not guaranteed to happen...but possible.

In agreement regarding the western front, let's not forget the full moon and high tide. Regardless of which situation, you can bet on a mess.

i went up to arcade this morning, was told to head back to my hometime parking place bobtail if they didnt have any mt's, so i did that, they will probably be wondering why i didnt take it in sat. nite, i didnt get up to the pilot in kanona until the evening, and my 11 hours were looking a bit thin thanks to the dh front gordonsville to the shipper, and where i was dropping didnt seem to have much in the way in lighting. hopefully they will let me take the rest of tommotrow off, i originally told them i'd check in tomorrow afternoon, but i didnt anticipate having to fix lights on the trailer, plus having to screw around with trying to get the axles legal, and i was 40 lbs overweight, though i was able to burn of some fuel. i think if i can take all day tomorrow off, i can avoid the high winds that are forecasted......56-60mph gusts, not fun for dragging an mt trailer through.

Spyder I think you were pulling out of Konona when I was scaling my load.
I'm headed to Wixom, MI in the morning and then home. Have a podiatry appointment that I'm dreading and then a regular check up too. Probably get medical card renewed too.
Countless utility and tree crews headed east on 80 and 86 today. Wonder if the freight will drop off this week?

And I get to reload tomorrow and head straight for it.
Re: overweight...I've never had anybody bug me for under 100lbs worth of over on the axles. If it was forty pounds and there wasn't space to put it somewhere else, just roll on, Stonewall, the valley belongs to you. -
I seen my name on a load out of New Ulm to our normal place in Va....but I don't know if I will take the load...I really don't want to head into bad weather that I already know is bad...then add artic air.....really I don't want to drive into a blizzard if I can help it...it kinda makes my risk management alarm go a little wonky...LOL...

i called in and agreed to check in tomorrow morning since my 34 wont be complete till late tonite, good thing since the weather here is starting to get interesting, going to be getting lot more wind tonite, maybe 50-60 mph gusts...not weather i would want to be dragging an empty wagon around in that. going to take my pickup in for its yearly inspoection...something i dread because its needed something fixed on it every year since i bought it, it'll be the LAST dodge ram i will buy.

Called in, they want me to go to Ma., the response was don't worry about it, we have drivers going up and down,WTF! Ct. will close all roads at 1pm to non-emergency vehicles. Call it what you may, but I'd rather be safe.
