You nailed it husker had 2 p/u at stemilt,first one was no problem only 3 pallets second was 18 pallets and that took about 4 hrs. Drove right out the gate an into the fuel stop for some sack time. Hey did you get any food from the roach coach on site? The combo platter was quite tasty.

 

Josh has me a load home lined up so I'll be home on Sunday. Fun part is I get the winter storm next. Thankfully looks like its losing power.

Oh, and my check engine light has returned. I think I'm gonna rename my truck from Gonzo to CEL (check engine light)...

IADOT is shutting down 80...all sorts of truck and car wrecks....i made it to davenport....everyone is bailing off the interstate....

What tranny is in those Volvos? Are you getting any fuel mileage out of 'em?

 

The newer volvo engines are much more powerful in my opinion. This is based on what drivers have told me and what I have read on here. Do you guys have Freightliner Cascadias?? I ask as the Detroit power plant in them seems to be one of the best out there.

Well, still stuck here, roads still suck here, mostly ice covered, and now a blizzard warning till 9 pm, im personally telling dispatch not to put me on this run again, until they can figure out that they need to give enough time to get unloaded at the consignee of the previous load and they have bad weather coming, plus i got mike telling me to shut it down if not safe, then others telling me i should run in the evening, i swear if they screw my xmas time up, there's gonna be a problem.

 

I am still in davenport...and I ain't leaving til the AM...it screws up my friday....they could have deadheaded me home from wisconsin and I would already be sitting in my warm house sleeping in my bed....oh well as long as I am home tomorrow...

I 80 going west is a parking lot around walcott...reports are there are trucks in the ditch everywhere....and there was a big pileup on 35 today too....glad I stopped when I did...cause shortly after I got stopped there were accidents happening like crazy....

 

The Volvo has the eaton 13 speed not looking for any kind of fuel mileage until they get broken in which I was told is about 60k. All you guys over in Iowa are making me happy to be in Montana. Stay safe everyone.

 

Camped out in the holding lot at Front Royal for my 10. Gonna grab my mt in the morning thdn load in Edinburg for my load home to Michigan.

Weather turned nasty in PA on the turnpike. Wind gusts and freezing rain, not to mention #### loads of traffic. I almost shut down in Breezewood were it was snowing. Not looming forward my drive back into it tomorrow.
