I'm going to Porky Products. Need to squeeze in a 34 at the house on the way so we can get our tax returns signed. Busy weekend! (My wife lives 2 hours away and doesn't have a car, haha.) They supposedly have overnight parking at Porky so that will be a help. 0400 Sunday there and the rest at 0300 Monday in Harrisburg!

Rob did Mike mention what customers we were able to negotiate rate increases with?

There was something else I wanted to ask but I can't remember. This isn't it but do I have the newest trailer? 1086 I'll try not to top it in Jersey this weekend!

 

brian was it really you that did that??? and no there's an 1099 ive seen.... and husker maybe you can answer this but why in the blue hell we dont have marker lights across the top of the trailer also?? i think we got one or two but i would like all of our trailers to have it

 

@Brian from what I gather it was Cargill, Swift, Wells & a handful of our smaller shippers. I guess the guy who did that was only here less than a month and got the 'ol heave ho already. @Hawk from what Andy says our trailer shop guys fall off of ladders easy so he doesn't want them up there changing out burnt out lights! I guess you have to know his sense of humor to find it funny or know the trailer shop monkeys for that matter!

 

Yes we need more chicken lights! Haha, Hawk I was thinking the same but Andy's argument is fair enough. I came from a company with the minimum trailer lights, and now that I've had a taste I want more!

Doh, no increases on what I normally haul. Bay Shippers, Astra Zeneca, and of course Tyson could boost my pay

I remembered my question: Are Vernon and Loretta Van Wyk of Van Wyk Freight Lines any relation? I just noticed there existence this week, and then I saw another today!

 

Vernon (Pinky) is a VERY distant cousin. I don't think we really claim them and visa versa. Mike said he is waiting to go after Tyson for a rate increase for a little bit. They were our only shipper giving us rate increases when everyone else was slashing our rates.

 

Holding down the fort in Saint Michael, MN. I am done here but now waiting around for our buddies # Tyson to make up their minds what they want to do with this one case of meat that was rejected due to the box leaking. Most places just say to pitch a single case but not Tyson! I don't have to be in Edgerton, WI until 0400 tomorrow so I have gobbs of time, more frustrating than anything. How was everybody's weekend? Spent mine delivering in Monett, MO on Saturday morning then had to bounce up to Emporia to grab this trailer.

 

im stopped at the 100 milemarker service plaza on the OH turnpike while on my way to my second tour of wisconsin in two weeks... have a two stopper for Lacrosse and Tomah, WI... last week it was menommie, mi which is right across the Wisconsin border and Tomah.. hope its the samething i did last week, after i got unloaded at Tomah deadheaded to Dubuque to head back to Front Royal and got a quick Jersey on Thursday for Friday... but my weekend was to good!!! sex, alcohol, and great food!!! all yeah!!!!!
@matt josh offered me an northeast load friday but i declined, i wont going to get back until late afternoon friday and i didnt feel like being back in waynesboro so early sunday.... but as long as what happens last week happens this week then im fine...so im keeping my fingers crossed and i hope it goes down that way... where ol bechtel with the funny bunk window lol!!!

and husker, do u think sheldon would pay for a truck wash at the blue beacon since i can't get those ########s at eddies to do anything right!! including making my clutch problem only worse when i asked it to be adjusted, now the son of %$##! dont even come back of the floor, the ####### stays engaged!! but i really want my truck washed
