Seems this thread has gone silent! I was wondering, has it been compromised by the brass or are all of y'all just been extremely busy super truckers?

After four years it's kinda sad to see it die
-
Some of the regulars have moved on, but I'm still around! The e-mail addy I used for this forum was locked out after being hacked and I've neglected resetting it so I haven't been getting notifications. The cubicle commandos just advised to shy away from mentioning customer names and our locations. I get it since this business is very competitive and load theft is a huge problem.

That sounds like some good sound advice. Well, drive on driver, be safe and enjoy the ride.

How's training and your first couple of weeks tide?

What's up hawkjr, how's the ride been for you so far? I was scheduled to start just after you, had submitted my notice with the police department and then they called and said I would not be able to bring my truck home for my home times being that the terminal is 230 miles from the house that hurt! I then decided I would give it a try since the company is exactly what I am looking for and I agreed to commute. Then some issues came up on the home front that I needed to be here for so I had to push back my start date. While at home dealing with all of that another company I had applied with called. Not as good of pay but I will be able to bring my truck home thus balancing out the difference, I hope. Kind of sucks though because I was really looking forward to working with VanWyk!

Hope all works out for you ride. Regarding the thread, well been busy but not gone, hope all are doing well and being safe.

Hi all..I live in Southwest Virginia and was offered a job today by Tim at VW. I really need some driver feedback. I am currently with an old school company of about 70 trucks running east coast dry van. I am grossing about 1400 per week but I want to get back to reefer. What can I expect as far as pay and home time..I am home about every weekend here..I'd like to make the jump but if I can't match what I have here at Gaines there's no point I guess any info would be appreciated. Thanks
