Hawk, I heard about those 680's as well, was told autos and I'm guessing Paccar with all the problems Cummins have?

Filled out the online application this past Sunday. Talked to Jeannie today and she said she'll start working on it and to call her Monday. I've held a Class A since 2006, but never drove a truck. I drove a passenger bus for around 6 years. So I'm not holding my breath, but would love to start with Van Wyk. They sound great....especially for a first trucking company to work for. Fingers crossed

Working out my two week notice at current job then heading to Waynesboro probably the middle of next week, or the first of part of the following week. I'm nervous and excited. She said training with them is 1-6 weeks, depending on the driver. I like that a lot, I wasn't looking forward to spending weeks and weeks with a complete stranger in a truck. I still need to ask Jeanne if I can bring the truck home, and where to park it. I don't have room for a truck and a trailer.

You'll be better off just driving back & forth to Waynesboro. That way you could run the NE with not much problems. Cory might not like the idea of doing 160 more deadhead miles every week with you going past Waynesboro to get home coming from Front Royal

Good to know. Jeanne is supposed to call me tomorrow with a definite start date. Going to be the 22 or 23, not sure, she's waiting to hear back from the trainer.

Any idea how Van Wyk is with the whole sleep apnea testing? I was tested a few years ago, everything was good but I still meet some of the criteria; mainly bmi and neck size.

Pretty Good man... no complaints, still miss VW & 818.... as much as I hated the NE still miss the Plympton & Albany trips.

I don't run up there now because freight is so hard to get coming back down
