Oh without a doubt there's better jobs out there but VW is pretty soild. I ran out of Virginia doing mainly NE, I could of had the same numbers you had but I was lazy. We had one guy out of VA that did 80 but he left every Sunday. Won't my cup of tea...

Yeah probably just a technical glitch. Don't read into it.

So after starting this thread and 6+ years it is time to say adios to Van Wyk. A good experience overall and a company that will work with you in all aspects. My only negatives will be equipment related. Not that there is a problem here, outstanding maintenance program etc. Unfortunately like so many companies today, they too, dance to the federal regulations prescribed and insurance oversite recommended. Too many monitoring devices, and underpowered tracors, but I guess that's trucking in 2016, unless your an O/O.

Yet they still advertise 475hp tractors on their recruiting site...that went out with the T660s.

I was going to work for them, but not anymore. 33 years in September, don't need a camera baby sitting me.

Not for long. Unless you wanna drive an old POS, or spend a fortune restoring a '99- (which still won't match the comfort or convenience of today's trucks), even those of us trying to be as independent as possible will be governed on elogs. And we'll go broke either way. I hate feeling like such a grouchy old timer at 30 years old.

Thanks for starting this thread. What is your next adventure?
