My info is from almost two years ago, but urine yes, hair no. They will have you do a dexterity test on site, send you for physical/urinalysis. You'll do a quick road test and then go out with your trainer same/next day. Time with trainer depends on your ability and when the trainer feels you are comfortable/ready, as well as your own opinion. I was out for 11 days straight out of school before I received my own truck. Good luck!

 

Hey Drivers. I'm fresh out of School and just got offered a job with Van Wyk. Not very familiar with the whole % pay. Can anyone tell me what's fair? Also, what can I realistically make salary wise my first year? Any helpful responses are greatly appreciated.

 

Idk what they start Y'all out but if it's around 22.5% should make close to 60K

 

Just curious, What does the dexterity test consist of?

 

It consisted of lifting, bending and crouch walking under a trailer. It pretty much tested your flexibility...unless you are horrendously out of shape, you’ll be able to do it.

I am not, but if you are just starting off, they are a decent company. Overall liked them, but when they implemented the driver cams, I started looking for a new gig.
