Yeah, hawk, it's a snap. You need about 10 feet of cable (just snip the ends off of a set of jumper cables, honestly) and they wire it through the floor of the driver's side stowbox (under the bunk) then through the bulk head, and mount the inverter on the bulkhead right there next to where your clothes are supposed to hang. Took 'em 15 minutes to mine. Just get through Sheldon with inverter and long enough cable (the short one that comes with most inverters isn't long enough) in hand, and you're in, out and on your way.

    Hawk,

Saienga is right, I had mine installed when I switched trucks, regarding the cables, I just bought a set of jumper cables and they used those. Good luck and enjoy.

That's not really necessary. I use a laptop constantly, and I can't imagine an xbox is going to draw much more than 150-300 watts. That won't drain the batteries in such a way that you'll need to idle to keep the batteries charged.

But if you want to do it (it does charge the truck batteries) take a set of jumper cables, hook positive to positive from the reefer to the jumper post by the airlines, set the reefer to continuous run and voila! charging batteries.

Like I said, though, I can't see that being necessary. I have to idle the truck in the morning for a few minutes to use a 1000w water boiler, and that's only because the truck's been sitting all night w/o idling and the battery charge is down to 12.2 or so before I even plug it in. The 1000w appliance draws a lot.

EDIT: I just looked around a little, seems that a 360 doesn't draw more than 200watts even under stress from demanding games, so you should be golden to use it without the reefer charger...unless you're going to play through a whole 34! :D

haha i dont take many 34's and if i did take a 34 i would get an hotel room and bring it inside with me.... so i guess the next stop is getting a set of jumper cables and a inventer, i also have to get my old 360 fixed... so i see what happens, appreciate the heads up Saiegna, anyone of you guys was going East on 80 last night across Iowa?? I met a quite few of our trucks

Hey Larry, give a try to those new Rain-X Latitude wiper blades. I picked up a set for my wifes car and they are fantastic. They are designed to have one pressure point and then evenly distribute that pressure over the entire blade which is supposed to cut down on streaking over the life of the blade. They don't have the normal cage design like a stand blade so the aren't supposed to accumulate ice & snow either. So far she has said that they work very well. They are a little pricey, maybe $22 a blade, but good vision is something I don't like to skimp on. Man it feels nice to finally get back on long haul, that regional stuff was about to kill me. I went to Halls Frozen Warehouse in South Plainfiled, NJ this morning with thatMichaels Food product from Cloverleaf #6 in Sioux City and I was very impressed with the place. I guess we are taking this stuff to Elizabeth anymore, and they are just shuttling loads to Elizabeth when needed. Room to park & room to back in are pretty much the highlights.

    Rob,
Agree on the Rain X Latitude, I have them on both personal vehicles and I had them on the old Pete too, they are the bomb. Pricey yes, $18.00 each at Chinamart. I have gone to Halls a few times, I remember the first time I went there, I thought I was lost. Not a bad drop as you said, it's just getting there that can be taxing.

    !!
    Spiffy.

Ditto on the RainX single piece blades. They do collect a little crud in snow and ice, but not as much as the standard blades...just be careful how you clean them off. I was in the habit of just snapping the crap out them to get the ice to clear, but apparently I'm too violent, because I broke one of them (I tried them last winter in Feb/March). I think if I can learn a more delicate system for clearing build-up, I can get a winter's worth out of one set this time.

BTW, what's the size of these KW blades? 20"? 18"?
