TheyWith most Schwans depots you can just backup to the door and do a 10. Schwans loads are not palletized so they are offloaded by hand, I usually figure 3.5 hours per drop. If you think Tyson is picky about time, try being 1 minute late to a depot for Schwans. I did 3 stops around PA, DE & NJ so normally I ran into morning traffic. The second depot was about 20 minutes late getting me out which put me behind the eightball already and when I called into their driver checkin line it was literally 1 minute after my appt & I guess from what Steve said they were making a stink about it. That being said, they are really good runs and pay very well & the people are nice. You had better be on your A game when getting backed in. Most of the depots are VERY small and the area to maneuver is suitable for a straight truck but not an 18. They built a new depot in Winfield, WV right on Old 35 with about 50 acres to work with, but that is the exception but not the norm.

Welcome back straightup,was able to get in Culpeper depot early and do a 10 sitting in Chester now getting second drop off now,guess I got lucky both places have been reasonable to get in to. Be safe out there guys.

this is great... just getting the shaft here at Kraft in Bethlehem.... arrived at 1600 for an 1700 appt, told to come back at 2200... come back at 2200 and then told to come back at 0600 tomorrow morning... gotta love it, the detention time better be sweet on this!!!! but i am kind of bitter, i wanted to get in 3 nortons this week, ######!!!

Hey Matt yes the Chester drop was schwans also had a Richmond drop so thinking load should pay well. Got back to yard yesterday and was hoping to get safety meeting done but there were computer problems,oh well home for a day before back on the trail,be safe out there guys.

 

you guessed it!!! still here as i type, going on 20 hours.... the detention on this better be worth it!!!
