@scotty68 this post is not directed at you. I hear you in your situation and if I can help, please let me know. Could be complete road debries, could be criminals.
But the rest of you guys are #####es. You all talk a big game. You should know your history. You guys wanna run cheap and cutthroat? 50's,60's,80's they were shooting and crashing trucks in the OH,MI,IN,PA,NY area over labor disputes. A deputy governor summer house was relocated. Most you guys don't have the spine to make No2 pencil.
Talk a big game and the first to under cut your friends.
Truckers are truckers. No body wants unity, till they are a victim.

This is a thing that is going on across the country pretty heavily right now. It has nothing to do with tire shop conspiracies. This crap happens in bad economy times anyway but it’s worse now because cost of tires have gone up 50% in the last year. It is kids and jealous folks cutting tires on cars and trucks due to the social media challenges and the simple fact that they do not like someone getting a new vehicle or tires that they cannot afford. Our tire dealer customers are seeing lots of this and are taking huge hits on warranty/goodwill replacement for their customers that have had the tires for 30 days or less.

With the tons of cheap easy to buy cordless drill options. This is what we see the most because cutting or poking is a little more dangerous to the person doing it If a full psi blow out happens, so this is more sinister and secretive method. Fresh mostly new shiny screws drilled into the outside shoulder right at the belt edge were it is the hardest to repair. On passenger and LT size tires all manufacturers do not recommend to repair that area so should be scrapped.
Jealous your neighbor got a new set of tires today? Someone park in your spot at your apartment? Woman at bar ignore you? Mad at life while you walk thru the parking lot at walmart and someone has some expensive Michelins on a beater.
Slicing all steels is a different matter. You have to get the blade between the steel plies to puncture all the way thru. That means you have to cut radially from bead to tread or vise versa. You can’t just cut across the sidewall. The steel plies will not allow that. And when you do get it between the steel cords watch out. 100plus psi and about 60 gallons of compressed air volume coming at you.NoBigHurry, 86scotty, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Tell us more about this. I don't watch trucking videos on Youtube, it almost always ruins my day. Was this the same type of vandalism, puncturing tires? Inner tires too? What's a BOLO?RubyEagle Thanks this.
