I have always been a flatbedder... but a couple years ago I thought I'd try something new. It lasted 3 weeks with that truck & trailer until I realized that all my flatbedding buddies were making fun of me!

Yeah. For PLC trenching. I don't know what they pull it with, but it is designed for off road. They put 3 40,000 pound cable reals on it & go trenching.

Ok, I know exactly what that is now, they use a really big trencher that will pull up the ground, drop the wire in and burry it all in 1 pass. pretty cool rig.

Sorry, I haven't got back. Been kind of busy. I really enjoyed all the stories and advice. I'm looking into getting my CDL and working for one of these bigger companies for 6 months to a year. Then look into flatbedding more seriously. Thanks again for your time and experience.

Maverick, TMC, & builder's are a few flatbed companies who will hire people still wet behind the ears

Thanks I'll look into those. Yea I have worked for the last 26 years for the same company(not in transportation) and getting really tired of th BS,(long story). I went to driving school when I was 20 years old, but never went to work as a truck driver. Got married instead, had kids and think now I need a change.
