Is Variant a lease purchase division of US Xpress?

If you can't afford a beater car you need a new job.
It also gives you transportation when your killing time
    At terminal for whatever reason.

I've seen to many drivers sitting on the curb
With all that stuff from inside the truck,
Trying to find a way home after being let go.

Most didn't expect it, and didn't have even enough
    Money to get home.
    It's embarrassing.

OTR drivers don't have to work for the
    Company down the street.
We can work anywhere for anybody.

If you like in the country, like I do,
You might have 2 or 3 trashy, low paying jobs
    Within driving distance.
They can pay bottom wages because they there's
    Nothing else around.

If you want a real job making real money
    Your gonna have to commute.
    It's only a once a month commute
Back and forth, not every day.

I live 4 hours from my terminal,
I got car sitting there and one at home.
We got drivers who live twice as far as me.
    They do the same thing.

We know how this trucking stuff works,
    So we stay prepared.
Never trust anybody who owns a truck.

Only new drivers, who haven't learned yet,
Get put out on the curd, broke, with all their belongings.
My first company, put me out there,
Even after I finished my year contract.

I learned real quick, after sitting at a open bus stop,
At 2am, in pouring rain, with all that stuff, in the middle
Of nowhere, that they just don't give a dam about drivers.
When your done, your own your own.

    They never got me twice.

Got home to soothing words of “so glad you’re home baby, here’s your binkie and blanket. Did that mean mega carrier upset you?”

    Be prepared
    Murphys Law stars;
    1. Anything that can go wrong will.
    2. If there's the possibility of several things going wrong. The one that causes the most damage will be the one to go wrong.
    3. Everything will go wrong at one time.
3.1 That time will be when you least expect it.
    4. If nothing can go wrong something will.
    5. Nothing is as easy as it looks.
    6. Everything takes longer than you think.
    7. Left to themselves things will always go from bad to worse.
    8. Nature always sides with the hidden flaws.
    9. Given the most inappropriate time to occur that's when it will occur.
    10. Mother nature is a #@$%&.

Eric is the son of 1 of the founders Max Fuller....
Daddy Max gave him a few startup trucking companies inside us xpress over the years... each one he ran them into the ground to the point daddy had to step in each time and sell them off for a loss... so now that daddy retired Eric with all his business since is running us xpress

    Just Curious:
Was Your Son Out FOR 2 Complete Months With ZERO HOME TIME??
Even IF he didn't get FIRED, How Would He Have Gotten Home For Home Time??
You Would Have Picked Him Up & Then Returned Him To Terminal Therein Dropping Him Off OR He Would Had To Of "Found A Way Home And Back After A 34+"??

    Speculative Assessment:
I Believe What The Real Deal Was Is That Your Son Was Lamenting and Expected Things To Be Better.
Dispatchers JUST LOVE WHINERS and Such Activities Usually Result In DIMINISHED LOADS Or Significantly Shorter Hauls To Long Waiting Times at Load/Unload Facilities, Which Encourage Statically Significant Excessive Whining.
Dispatchers Are Changed Until No More Dispatchers Available, Then, Usually, Termination Of Driver(s).

I Used To Whine And Moan In Trucking For Years Until I Aligned Self To A Company Full Of Whiners and We Got Along Rather Well, For A While, Then Found A Local Gig And Continued Long Haul To Eventual Short Haul Then No Haul = Retired.
