This week, I'm waiting to see what happens on the 15th when the board meets to finalize the Reser's buyout. Other than that, it's going well. I had a gout episode flare up over the weekend and went to Vaughan's free onsite clinic. Got prescriptions for meds and good to go.

Reser's reps will be here Friday to begin inventory. What all that encompasses, I don't know...:biggrin_2554:

Lots of activity and meetings going on behind the scenes. New driver faces every week. DOT is coming to visit sometime this month. Memo form last week says routes are being consolidated and that we can't continue to send trucks out less than full. Maybe we will get a Holiday surprise: Ho Ho Ho! We are closing down. Here's your last check....

Here's a current Sitrep: I'm hoping to stay a while longer, only due to needing to get to where I have 6mo "recent" exp. Then I'll have more options for work. My schedule as a local driver is bizarre. I have no scheduled days off. Nor do I have any set work schedule. I am told day-to-day what I'll be doing the following day, except for Fridays, when I get the schedule for the weekend. Most of what I do is deliver backhauls that have been brought to the yard by the route drivers. DOT foods in Ardmore and Wal-Mart DC in Paul's Valley. If it's PV, that only amounts to about 5hrs. Then I have to hope that the yard driver needs help so I can get an 8hr day. Several mornings I have come in and there is no tractor, so I have to wait until Penske opens at 7 to get one. They can't seem to decide how I should log the 100mi radius work, so I've gone back to a standard log everyday cover my 6.
Many times, I'm scheduled to del in Ardmore at 0915 and then again at 2130, followed by a 0515 del at wal-mart Paul's Valley. The person who schedules doesn't seem to understand why this creates HOS issues. If I turn a load down, I lose hours. It's a catch-22. It's FUBAR at Vaughan...
