Vegas to Seattle route

    Hey folks. I'm leaving for Seattle today and planning my route. My usual route has me taking US-93 all the way to Twin Falls and then to I-84. For some reason, my routing has me going through US-30 up to Buhl ID, bypassing Twin Falls. I see a road closure up in Twin Falls.

    Can one of you tell me what's going on up there? Can I go through Twin Falls or not? If I can't, can you tell me what US-30 to Buhl is like? I've never taken it before and don't want any surprises. Thank you.

    Us 30 through Buhl is fine but for a bit fewer curves and quicker to I84 turn right on Clear Lakes road in Buhl, which takes you to the interstate in Wendell. You miss Hagerman that way.

    Just to verify, you are taking 318 to 6 and then join up with 93 again in Ely, right?

    As @Accidental Trucker mentioned, 30 west is good to Bliss, and Clear Lakes grade to Wendell also good if you enjoy dairy air!

    Anymore I'd probably go west on 30 rather than going back to Twin regardless with the construction around Jerome.

    Yeah, I always take 93-318-6-93. I love that route.

    It sure is. It saves you about 41 miles and an hour of driving instead of taking 93 all the way to Ely.

    Man, you guys that get to drive around out west make me jealous. I mean, I could, but hard to be home every 4 days which I like better.

    I was just on that hwy on a trip with my wife. God's country.

    I love driving southern Oregon and Nevada. 140 across southern Oregon over to Denio Jct, and 51? south out of Mountain Home into NV.

    2 of my favorite drives, but my favorite list is 10 or 12 deep.

    In case you decide to stretch your legs at some point
