    1 of them copies should say driver or truck copy right on it.I always keep one for me.

    Because managers are ignorant . Our carrier got burned in an audit because drivers followed management instructions to use the DVIR's in the logbook and turn them in with the logs . Many got turned in with defects noted but not corrected and signed off .

    Our books only have 2 copies, an original and a yellow "vehicle copy". The yellow copy is not even perforated to be torn out. I don't understand what benefit he would have in taking both copies. What if management didn't repair something that a driver noted and now
    there's no record for the driver to say he had recorded the defect???
