Your very welcome.
Shows your mechanical abilities completing that task, no doubt ......... very big undertaking.
Glad to hear you got it fixed up.

You posted a picture of the the hvac system. I have a 2012 348, are they all pretty similar?
-
No. Not the same. Diagram posted is for 579 and 567 - 2.1 meter cab.
I can help with your legacy cab tho.
what’s your issue? Mode/ air flow INOP? Stuck on defrost? -
We took it in to have it checked, it was originally stuck on vent mode. My husband told the mechanic to switch it to defrost and leave it. Well it’s my truck and I don’t want to just leave it. I called Peterbilt and they gave me a part number for the “mode” actuator and I ordered it. I installed it and the door is still stuck in defrost. What I did notice is the old actuator is a 2 pin, and the one I got from Peterbilt is a 3 pin. I’m wondering if it’s something else??
Goodysnap Thanks this. -
Something is lodged in the scroll/mode door keeping it stuck preventing movement. Anything can fall in the defrost duct and fall directly into the door and cause it to bind. Small items, even a paperclip or a sunflower seed can lodge it stuck.

Thank you. I’ll have to get my mechanic to check it out.

do you have a pic like that of a 2016 Peterbilt 389?
