Or a turn on green when clear.
-
Agreed. I had a Georgia State Patrol Capt tell me once that you may only go on a green light when the way is clear. There are a lot of examples of things we all do that might be wrong. I know of one that happened in my hometown once. A guy was waving another guy out of a driveway so he could get in. It was a 4 lane road and the guy pulled out in front of another car that T-boned him. I don't know how it ended because I left but a city cop told the man non cops can't regulate traffic with hand signals in Georgia. I asked a cop later about me blocking traffic to help a trucker back in. He said it's not cut and dry. I have looked but can't find any rule or court ruling covering this.Blackshack46 Thanks this.

That would be my guess.

I spoke with my safety guy yesterday and he said they were probably going to classify it as not preventable and not at fault, but are waiting for a copy of the report.

Yikes!
Your first post was pretty spot-on given this context.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
Ever hear the saying, `if you can't be helpful, S.T.F.U.`?
Just asking.... -
I was being helpful; I let @Blackshack46 know his post was not out-of-line.
Here is some more helpful information; pay more attention to what you are doing. Six incidents in 11 months? I'm surprised you still have a job.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
Black box. $50 and great video quality. Cheaply built but good.

I received a copy of the report and it appears that at least the police are ruling in my favor, having cited the other driver with failure to yield and without a license.
Vindicated, but I still don`t feel good about it, you know?Big Don Thanks this.
