Just what I figured. I'm going to stick with venture....their reviews on the east coast are terrible....once I sign on as a new driver, do I have to go otr for 6wks with a trainer or is it less?

If more than a year experience. You will road test and do orientation. You will then get your truck. Less than 1 yr experience. You will do the 300 backups and 5 weeks with a trainer. My trainer goes home every day.

    JRell Thanks this.

Okay so with that, where do you go every night? Home or hotel?

The hotel every night. Lunch is provided at orientation. You are on your own for lunch and dinner when doing the backups. Hotel has breakfast

Venture is a good company with good benefits. There driving academy is good hands on training. they want you to learn 95% on your own instead of the instructors holding your hand like most company schools do. No hazmat required any longer, and good weekend home time with S. E. regional runs. no long haul.

But if you have your CDL they are paying you 100.00 per day at the academy.

What if you're looking to get training no cdl? I saw an ad they have a school now. Any details on this?

Yes, they have a professional driving academy that is hands on (which means you are learning what you need to know on your own with proper guidance) instead of some instructor screaming commands. When they feel you are ready you will go to the Indiania State testing site for the completet exam. takes about 4 weeks and you are getting paid 75.00 per day Mon. - Fri.

So if you go to their training you get 75.00 a day? Do you know what they require to be eligible to be hired? Would I have to get my cdl permit beforehand? I wish they would put information on the website.
