That is a good suggestion. I've actually done that with varied success multiple times.

Buy a firestick and install kodi on it...then add Pulse ccm to it...then watch any tv show..or movie ever made....even movies in theater. ..all for free ...look on YouTube for how to install and use

Had my first congested network experience with Verizon. Delivered a load to Jersey City. It wasnt horrendous,.. I could still watch Netflix in HD. Just felt a bit laggy compared to normal. In PA right now and no more issues.

I didnt mean the speed was slow. Verizon at its worst is still better than the others.

I meant as in lag,.. delayed reactions to clicking on things. Ping times were approaching the 800ms mark. Sites with lots of advertising took a bit to load.

Could have been the net itself. Still better than my best day on 28.8 dialup LOL. Actually was till better than my first cable internet broad band.

I guess maybe I've just been spoiled with how Verizon usually is.

    That's the real problem.
Can't really compare it to something we used 5-10 years ago or more.
Have to compare it to the new norm.

Here is my most recent experience with Verizon and the new "Unlimited Plan"
I have a Verizon MiFi and a cell phone. If you don't know what the MiFi is - its a small cellular hotspot that is pretty darn effective and reliable. I don't use my phone for a hotspot because I have the MiFi.

I use my computer, Xbox, tablet, Skype etc and watch movies/tv. I used to have a 100gb/month plan. It was expensive but I figured it was worth it as the speed was consistent. So, along comes the 'Unlimited Plan'. I like a lot of people thought it was truly unlimited again and jumped on it. The price was good and I didn't see any hidden BS buried in the fine print. I started it in January and up until the end of the April billing cycle had totally unlimited data - was using 120 - 160gb per month with no issues, 4g all the way with no data choke.

Well, Verizon slammed the brakes on myself and probably everyone else and modified the 'New Unlimited' plan to 10gb of 4g then...well anything above 10gb you might as well be using dialup. They enacted this in the May billing cycle. You can increase it to 22gb/month but that hardly solves the problem. I have since found out that the old 100gb plan is still available...but at a significantly increased price - was 230/month now it can be had for the super low price of 440/month. Ouch!

So, basically Verizon raised the price of the old 8gb/month plan to about $75/month - at least that's the way I see it. The Unlimited - isn't really unlimited. Once you hit that data cap of 8, 10, 22gb - you might as well go sit in a McDonalds and use their free WiFi or nothing at all.

I've got a cell phone. It's been pretty reliable and darn effective also. As a hotspot. Without the added cost of a MiFi. :)

I'm at 51GB for my billing cycle and except for one night in NJ,.. I have not experienced any kind of service issues. I have been binge watching steaming internet TV, downloading from a few torrents I normally waited until I got home to use and still do all my day to day business.

The only difference I see is that I use my phone for wifi hotspot for everything. McDonalds, Starbucks and truck stop wifi seems slow in comparison to me.

Sorry your having a bad experience. If its that bad,.. then try one of the other carriers. Thats what I would do. The only reason I stay with Verizon is because I have great service with them. The second I have any problems,.. I'll be the first to complain and try something different.
