I check every once in a while... connect the dots, so to speak. In a former life, I was a database programmer. There is still stuff I posted on UseNet (remember newsgroups?) over 20 years ago, in comp.database... STILL floating around on the net.

Mind you, this was back in the day when we signed our posts with our email address, physical address and even our phone numbers.

Thanks to facebook and other social networking sites, it's still trivially easy to find out who someone is online. You are not anonymous.

Incidentally, I have used two variations of this screen name for about 17 years. But if you google those variations, some of the links that come up, are me, and some are not and will likely fill your computer chock full of viruses. Googler beware, lol.

    Sublime and BIGZILLA Thank this.

My brother is a collector of viruses. He likes to tweak them and send them back. I will let him know. Lol

The OP shouldn't be allowed anywhere near truly high value high security loads. He seems completely oblivious to the fact that stealing his freight isn't a minimum wage job. All the crime most people are exposed to is dumb people doing dumb things, usually while drunk or high. Cargo theft is a totally different story. Some of these people are the kinds of people who would hack this website to get as much information about you as they could get as a first stop and then keep hacking until they compromised your phone... And have that done in <12 hours.

This assumes they are already targeting this particular cargo type and are already monitoring the internet for any clues they can find. Once they have your phone it's just a matter of watching you go into this shed and come back out.

I'm not paranoid. I'm realistic. My wifi pw is a 24 digit random alpha numeric and everything I have of value is stowed away as properly as it can be. We live in a brave new world... But the old world scum bags kids are alive and well, so don't go assuming that organized crime has disappeared. The world is just as dirty as it ever was... It just looks different because of the power of the internet. Which the OP just waved a giant flag 'I have high value cargo!' to.
