RV, NOT FOR HIRE, I've seen both versions.

Optimus Prime is a Western Star and was used as a promotion vehicle for the introduction of the 5700 model.
I was able to get a few pictures on a truckstop in Ontario while they were touring across Canada. 20150411_155839.jpg

Nothing unique about your situation, it's been done, It's a personal vehicle at that point, register it as such and all the DOT stuff goes away. Some states have you fill out some stuff stating that it's NOT going to be used as a CMV and will either give you Passenger or possibly RV plates if your state has them. Not a big deal.

Where you gotta pay attention is weigh stations, the states wording will dictate whether you need to go through or not. "All Trucks" or "All Commercial Vehicles" don't apply to you. But many states will say all vehicles over X GVW must enter, that still applies. States like CT say all Trucks, RV's and Rental Trucks, so your going in there too. Expect to have some issues from time to time with that one. Same goes for streets with truck restrictions, you may not be a CMV, but you ARE still a heavy truck.

I'm not argueing, but up where I live the cut off for a POV is the CDL threshold, so it's either get apportioned plates, RV or combination... The government likes their money

Ive been properly schooled regarding scales.

Now pavements, Indiana taught me about this. They kind of hate people pulling off with a 8 ton tractor and 10 ton flatbed to have 20 girls in nothing much wash and love the equiptment due to very local town laws regarding and trying to protect the parking lot pavement in which they are holding the truck wash I think it is along US 231 Im not sure anymore All I know is that Indiana raises people very well and if you stayed south on there long enough you will find Lincoln's BIrth Home.

No one is arguing. You raised a new input of information with which I will and others will too have to deal with.

If it aint Johnny in the cooking that gets you, one other 49 states will. (Yes we have 50, but you cannot drive to Hawaii...)
