    Thanks to all who have remembered us Veterans! All it takes is a simple thank you from the civilian population to make this job that we do an honor. Again, thanks for taking the time to remember us on our day.

    I appreciate all that fought and died for our country so we can live in a wonderful place. Even the vets that served during non-wartime have played a valuable role in our countries safety. Coming from a military family and serving myself, this is a special day. My father is buried in Arlington Cemetary, a rock throw from the tomb of the unknown soldier. I'll be watching the ceremony on TV today.

    As for Applebee's, you have to show a military ID. The only vets that carry military ID's are retiree's and active duty. But their effort is appreciated as some can enjoy a free meal.

    Okay, thanks. Posted same time. I have a photo in uniform if they can recognize me, lol. It's 30 years old. I know where I'm going for lunch! I love Applebee's.
