You guys are real geniuses . Thank god i signed up on this forum . But thanks for informing me theres a difference between the technology in a 1989-2013 pete, I may have been lost forever on that one. I forgot what its like to deal with a bunch of keyboard warriors that probably don't even have a CDL .
I thought I could post something up and get a quick response on how to break a vin down to get more info on the truck but that would require reading the actually post to understand it not to just respond .

According to the websight.
G is 86 or 16. Is that not true?
There should also be some labels on driver door or the jam. If it's readable. What the manufacture date?truckdriver31 Thanks this. -

Door jam label is gone.I found some info breaking the vin down into 4 sections but even with that it doesn't total break down the vin.Im on the search for a cab or dash with a good tag and clean title ...truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
So what does the vin say on the website?

Interesting. I think this has been vin swapped already. She's sitting with a Cummins 350 BC(crate motor from cummins with 40k on it) and a 9 speed . Not sure if the rears were changed but Ill have to look for a tag. Truck has Air leaf on it and is the worst thing peterbilt ever put out. Thankfully the truck has a locking diff or I would have been stuck backing in my driveway without doing a hole shot in reverse .
Thanks pushbroom. Much appreciated .Last edited: Oct 27, 2019
