Both get the points. It's not one or the other.

And it's 18 months for the company. Not 2 years. Every 6 months points drop.

Regardless, unless the OP is a chronic problem for his employer he will have forgotten about this by next week.

I have CSA points from an inspection wrote up in which I was placed OOS a years and a half ago, it has not prevented me from getting employment offers or got me in trouble at the employer I was with at the time. The OP was worried about being cited to court, he was nt, and the points from one parking ifraction are not a big deal, unless he keeps getting them

According to the FMCSA website, only law enforcement can access a drivers PSP. Therefore, getting a job cannot be affected by your PSP as long as the violations are not on your MVR (ie: No ticket issued).

THIS IS NOT CORRECT. CORRECT INFO BELOW.
Had things backwards in my brain again.

"nailed" as in the sense of what i do believe i had said....the points.....

he was most likely handed an inspection sheet...no..???

    then he is "nailed".............

what part of that, did you NOT understand..???

i clearly stated that in my posting, of number 4....

and maybe so the company will laugh at him, yeah, right, the dispatchers will...did you ever consider what safety might do or say to him..????

your employer and his employer are 2 DIFFERENT employers...can you say beyond a reasonable doubt that he will not get into some deep crap..???

in any event, that'll show him to park where ever he wants to.

as i am reading from a different website, an employer and potential employer, CAN get one's PSP report with permission..???

and IF this is true, and one denies such a report to be garnered, i'd highly suspect no job offer from that moment on..???

Was looking for the link and realized I got things backwards in my head.

The Driver Safety Measurement System (DSMS) is the one that employers cannot access. Only law enforcement. And it only goes back 36 months. (http://csa.fmcsa.dot.gov/FAQs.aspx?faqid=1414)

The Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) CAN be accessed by potential employers for a fee. And only with the driver's permission. It goes back 5 years for crashes and 3 years for inspections. (http://csa.fmcsa.dot.gov/FAQs.aspx?faqid=1418)

Will edit previous post to avoid confusion (if I can)

i do believe too, that the general public has been denied "some data" from the CSA as well.....

if i can find that, i will post it, but as of right now, it don;t matter much to me, if the public can gain access or not, maybe the news media can sue for public records disclosure, or some crap like that..??
