Virus ALERT! Don't open junk mail saying......

I know it sucks. I've probably lost out on billions being thrown at me over the years lol. Always somebody wanting to give me moneys or some hot local singles looking for a good time and then there's the weird ####.

 

What really gets to me, is the millions of dollars I've lost due to throwing away Publisher's Clearing House junk mail. . .

 

I never open anything that i do not recognize,i pay extra for PCDefender (thru tds,my isp) and it is supposed to be a stout antivirus,plus i run the virus scan and malware scan often.my laptop just got slower and one day just wouldn't function.

took it to a guy that works on them and $45 later,he showed me 87 different virus or malware deals that had infected my laptop.

the moral? there is just so much junk out there that your computer can get infected no matter how careful you are it seems.

the $45 did include some more memory but you'd think spending the money would not have been necessary as careful as i try to be.i don't go to obscure websites.i don't really even surf the net but do go to a few forums like this one.that's it.

crazy stuff out there plus people that have nothing better to do than to hack other people's computers somehow.yeah i am computer illiterate but geez.

 

One of the big reasons that I do not go to links without some knowledge of the post involved on this forum.
