Not to mention almost all of them are not governed and on 1099 which means they can pocket more most trucking companies on W2....yes the 1099 pays taxes quarterly but there's ways to reduce them

 

So that makes it ok for drivers to work for below minimum wage? You’re driving a #### semi being away from home, a driver should make at least 27% of what the truck makes gross, not no #### 12-14%. Wtf is wrong you.

So because illegal punjabi doesn’t pay taxes, it makes it ok for employees like swift and western to exploit driver pay? I love your mentality. No wonder companies gross 8k a week, and drivers make $800

 

Well, that makes zero sense.

 

I'm saying these illegal run operations are the reason pay at regular company positions suck... because they circumvent the rules because they get away with it...stop those companies and suddenly regular drivers can actually compete.. I guess you couldn't understand I'm for drivers getting more, legal drivers !!

 

Make it make sense… if illegal carriers who have less trucks can pay a livable wage and operate on load board rates, than carriers who have thousands of trucks and good paying contracts can pay even a better wage….

 

Common theme with a lot of them is they dont pay taxes either. When the IRS comes down they simply skip town or in many cases sell off all their assets to a new company rinse and repeat.

Hard to compete with someone whos operateing costs are about 30 to 50% lower then yours and ignore all the rules.your forced to adhere to

 

How are their operating costs so much lower? They pay for trucks, they buy insurance, renew irp, they get diesel from same fuel pumps as you do. Without those things a truck will be off the road in days by the dot… like I said make it make sense.
