Visible and Not-Able-To-Hide Tattoos?

I know this ain't a pic thread but just to give you guys an idea of what I was talking about. Never had a problem with these.

Stay away from pre-judgers who wont hire you because of an expression of something thats important to you. Next they'll be firing you darn dirty hippies with long hair and making you roll your T-shirt sleeves back down.

Not just tattoos either now (which Guntoters comment made me think of). I've passed over quite a few job ads due to "smokers need not apply" being stated. REALLY, if I smoke I can't apply for a job on your landsape crew???

I've seen quite a few of these outdoor type jobs advertised this way but many of the people that do these jobs are smokers, that's what I don't get. Now in a truck I would understand because I do not own it. But so long as I don't smoke in your truck you should have no problem.

 

Really when they put "smokers need not apply" that is illegal and pissed me off. Just cause I smoke doesn't mean I won't do a great job. Same thing with company's that don't hire people with tattoos. Its 2013 no one really cares how many holes you have in your head or if you have artwork on your body. They act like its still the 60's.

 

I know you said in your OP that TMC has a tattoo policy. They just cannot be offensive. A few of the guys in this weeks orientation class have multiple arm tattoos. One guy also has both knuckles tattooed. Don't kick TMC to the curb too fast; about tattoos anyways.

 

I thank you. I'm just a normal Trucker, with some runs behind me. My beard is as long as I like it, My hair is as long as I like it. I Myself know, Who I am, & know where I have been. I don't care for pictures on my body. If I made U think I am making fun of anyone, I was not. I Ride an older Harley Davidson motorcycle. Drive off for a week. Come back get in the truck & go back to it. I have never figured out which one I like better.

Wow, thanks for all the tat info. Gonna hold of getting my 1/2 sleeve completed until I make sure the company I wind up with doesn't have a problem with the ink I have..
