Please avoid this company. It's a typical "ChicagoLand" foreign owned company. They are running an illegal operation (which is why the pay is high).

    1. They charge different amounts for deposits based on national origin. I ran into a Ukrainian vista driver at a shipper, and we had a conversation about the $2500 deposit new drivers are charged to get started. He was confused why my deposit was so high. He was only charged $1500..

    2. They pressure you to run oversize loads at night, even if the permit prohibits it, as well as instructing you to run past weigh stations. They have no problem with this because they know if the driver gets caught, that's who will lose their license or even go to prison (depending on what happens)..
And if you refuse, and follow the permits, which will most likely make you late to the customer, then they'll take $1000 from your next check..

    X. There's so much more, but I'm not here to write a novel. Please protect your career and stay away from these criminals. They specifically target Americans to hire, so they can abuse their citizenship and passports (military loads, Canada loads, Alaska, etc.)

    You get caught... YOU'RE #######

I always have to ask the following questions-
    • Are you a W-2 company driver, a O/O with your own equipment, leasing equipment from the company or were you being paid on a 1099?

Lonesome and TB John Thank this.

I started as a 1099 company driver. Then bought my own truck and switched to OO.

This sounds about accurate. The high cpm seduced you into signing on there?

    Animeblue000 Thanks this.

I wasn't seduced. I had no idea they worked this way before I arrived.

What @bryan21384 ( and everyone else) was wondering what was the deciding factor that made you pick this company to work for.

Lonesome, bryan21384 and Animeblue000 Thank this.

The reviews were great. The most common "pro", was "good pay". Before coming here, I never heard of ChicagoLand. I had no idea Chicago was Ukrainian/Russian trucking territory, nor did I know they operated this way

Doesn’t the name ring any bells that’s says they are SHIFTY?

Were any of the charge backs, deductions, fines listed in your lease agreement as required by CFR 376.12 of the FMCSA?
