Long story short I had some kidney labs done and among the million tests was for Vitamin D. I run nights in the upper Midwest and despite taking a daily multivitamin I was still deficient in Vitamin D. Something to think about for linehaul guys esp. this time of year.

nothing is better than actual sunlight for getting proper Vitamin D.

get out for a little while 2 -3 times a week or just an hour or so on weekends

I take 40,000 IU of D3 & K2 from Dr. Eric Berg's product line every day. Vitamin D is fat soluble so if you're taking a generic vitamin or generic multivitamin your body might not be absorbing it properly due to a lack of fat or bile salts to help it digest into your system.

Unfortunately many, if not most, generic vitamin supplements only contribute to the creation of designer urine, most of the junk that is in them ends up in the toilet one way or the other.

Well it's in a prescription bottle and called cholecalciferol but it says to take for vitamin D supplementation.

They mail me all my prescriptions so it's just another one to add to the list at this point.

All mine come in the mail also. I'll ask my doctor about a prescription.
cholecalciferol - side effect is weight loss. Might be good for some that want that.

I had a vitamin D deficiency by the time I came off night time linehaul. Got prescribed 50,000 units a day for a week.
