If companies in the trucking industry are just now starting the company rule to stop V logging, mud slinging on FB & other social sites and stop and remove identifying your place of employment on social websites.... then they are about 4-5 years behind other corporate industries and government agencies. This is a norm in the business world.

There are a lot of companies that have the rule for no discussion on websites about events or situations that happened during your work day, especially controversial events that happened or disagreements at work with policies or other employees.

Censorship, its good and its bad in my opinion.

Swift could of at least given them a warning first, but no they fired the youtube vloggers first, with no warning, that's the Swift way. Another vlogger with Cleadon (bigrigtalk on youtube) was told not to do any more driving videos and he kept his job. Swift could of done that, but Swift is a dirty outfit so they just fire people. Trainer James ran a stop sign, but they fired Nick from NRS adventures just for vlogging period supposedly.

Many youtube bloggers aren't doing anymore driving videos, Ike Stephens, Little Guy Trucker, Trainer James, etc, have all stopped doing driving videos, more probably will stop in the near future.

I watch Trucker Josh every day. Some of you pros may notice something that I don't, but I've never seen him do anything unsafe or not pay attention. He is also very courteous.

It seems a lot of trucker vlogs are just a bunch of cry babies. Trucker Josh represents the industry well, IMHO.

So far we have rumors of a change in policy and supposition and talk of the "evil company". Other than the "I think someone might have got an e-mail" thing, is there any hard evidence of actual communication from Swift regarding this heinous new policy?

By the way, Swift's primary communication tool is not by e-mail. All immediate and official communication comes by way of Qualcomm. I haven't heard anything about vLogging bans. However, if someone is enough of an idiot to post videos of oneself driving unsafely I don't think any level of official warning would be helpful.

Thanks for the link. I was able to watch almost two minutes of it before my eyes glazed over and I was looking for an exit from the truck stop.... oh, wait, this isn't a truck stop... I can just turn this sum batch OFF! :D :D

But seriously... I still haven't received any communication from Swift saying "no vLogging". Anyone else?

    Rumors and sour grapes.
