It's the request of the company I lease to...
I would prefer to run a log.
Can I be on PC on my ELD and run papper also?

The whole PC is kinda in grey area, I would feel safer from getting a violation if I could log it and just burn the 20 hours or so in log book. I’m if you don’t get stopped for inspection then nobody will ever know. I just try to think of what could go wrong and is it worth the risk or is the company correct tell you to do it. Maybe they can give you something in writing or email that says they are telling you to do it.
If they did, then that points out you are doing it at the company direction. My understanding if a company is telling a driver to do something like driving, then is not Personal Conveyance.
Personal conveyance is kinda tricky. Myself I just use it to go get food or groceries or movies. My company has a policy of no more then 30 miles on PC unless you call them and get permission from someone.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Not having an ELD, I don't know the answer to this question. Your login and eld belong to your carrier. On paper logs, I just change the name of the carrier (of course in this situation, you're running without a carrier) on my log. Can you say that for this move, it's fewer than 8 times in a 30 day period and even be able to run paper logs? -
Here is pretty good video explaining Personal Conveyance rules
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
