Volvo antenna placement strategy

The problem with putting an antenna behind the cab of a Volvo is that it is a steel cab, and the signal that comes off the part of the antenna that is not out over the top of the cab will reflect off the steel cab, so I'm guessing the SWR's would be terrible. Better to just clamp a decent antenna on some of the exposed mirror arm.
