    Hi buying a volvo with this engine in it. Anybody tell me if this is a reliable engine. Do you have to block off the egr to get to run the best. Any sugestions would be nice. Thanks

    the bad news. Late D12 got twin coil injectors, that are not reparable, like on D12 engines and when you change it, you can change injector calibration with VCADs pro only. Not all, Volvo use two EGR valves, that twice more expencive then cummins EGR, but good news, you can fit cummins EGR in Volvo EGR core.

    The best news of D12. It is smooth, fast and good fuel milage

    What are you saying there Pablo? You can put the guts of a Cummins EGR into a Volvo EGR? And what is the advantage to doing that?

    really I like Cummins))))) D12 is not so easy to work on. I work on volvo and may be that's why I hate to work on Volvo))))

    IMO, Mercedes engine is better

    They shouldn't have discontinue the d12. The d13 is worser.

    Pablo I have a question? I have a 2005 volvo vnl d12.I did overhaul on it an this is the 3rd time my truck keeps braking my guideline on my cilynder head. Any idea why is doing this?
