    Clint is an awesome guy. Volvo specialist. I'm thinking he'd say 14k on inframe. 07 d12 has egr cooler and coolant running through egr valves according to him the d12 does not have head gasket issues

    Ok Thanks....I'm still getting tests done on engine...I will look for good mechanics on this site that have good reputations...I have looked into Volvo....it's pretty expensive ...350k warranty ....don't know if it's worth it for all the extra money...

    Thanks...I am still working with old owner to get records and have to talk to last mechanic that worked it...once I get the records and talk to the mechanic I will have more information to make a decision on what to do next....

    Who's the guy out of Chicago?

    Im looking to rebuild my D12 and Volvo is quoting me anywhere from 26k-34k depending on which of the 3 dealerships I go to.

    Anyone know if you have to cut counter bores on these engines?
