I’ve had my system recharged and everything checked, the ac always works some days and some it doesn’t. Everything was checked and the shop is confused and seems like they just want to throw parts at it just because they don’t know. Any common problems like this? When it works it blows perfect seems like when i turn the truck off for the next day it might not work for a few days

I have a similar problem with my 05 but the last few days the ac actually have worked flawlessly when the outside temp hit almost 95.
Usually in my case it would resume to work if I just restart the truck. So I now suspect moisture in the ac line even though the dryer indicator is green.
The theory is that when the moisture in the ac line begin to freeze at the evaporator coil it caused blockage in the high pressure side.Last edited: Jul 25, 2020

Did you replace the expansion valve for the cab and the sleeper and replace the receiver drier?KB3MMX Thanks this.

Yeah they replaced the one for the sleeper because it was leaking alittle and refilled it didn’t work that day but the next day it did, it magically works some days and some it doesn’t and they also replaced the drier tooKB3MMX Thanks this.
