Hi Pewee, not sure about your code, but you may want to invest in a code reader of some kind. Thy don't cost that much and can save your butt at times.

Hello, ECM SPN 3363, Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank Heater
90% that code come with battery terminals. Look your batteries clean all cable and terminals. Code will gone in day or two.

I know def line that goes from the pump to the def dozer, the heater activates at below 40F outside temperature. So once you will begin starting the cold truck and driving it at 40F and up, you should be good till the next winter

Seen this code PLENTY of times. We are replacing the def level module. Had probably 3 trucks back to back in a week with the same code. Was worried it wasn't being diag properly and started talking with out tech support and they agreed the DEF level module is faulty. May not be your fault but without hooking up and looking difficult to say that's it.

I'm curious about this suggestion. I have a truck that is new to me before this winter and have had "P20C113, def line 3 heater open circuit" code come up 2 times, both low def in tank, on guage and below freezing. It turns out that service records show line and harness have been replaced due to same code, just over a year ago... in January. Are you replacing the DEF level sending unit for the remedy to this? The timing of this code appearing seems like an occurrence with the low DEF and below freezing but doesn't seem logical to code definition. Thanks for any input!
