Volvo d13 engine brake not working after a warm engine start

I drove a Volvo for a couple years, and when I shutdown for a short time and then fired up and took off the Jakes and cruise wouldn't work, until I hit the brakes. Maybe something in the brake light switch?

 

I forgot about that
next time when it does that stop someplace and push the brake pedal almost to the floor then drive and see if it works.... you my need to check the brake switch and the ride height of the brake pedal

I had this exact same problem after my delete, it’s a programming glitch, I we t back to the delete shop and got them to try a different program and problem solved, it’s been 6 months problem free.

 

I have the same problem with my Volvo as well after the de f delete. It works fine when cold and can run up to 8 or 9 hours, but as soon as I shut off the truck, the engine brake stops working. I went back to the shop for the software update but they said everything is good from their end. Do you know a shop that can help with this problem?

When it s getting hot none of the three stages work, and when I set off the engine after 2 minutes I start again everything works okay. not every time but some of them

Tyler, tx damaged the head.
Chattanooga volvo found it was bad only after running the overhead, then I made them do a 20min test drive. At the end of the test drive the Jake's stopped working again, when they pulled the valve cover with the engine still hot and found all the bolts had backed out (lose)
