I am back to square one. I discovered the transmission air tank is divided and the front is associated with the purge system and does not have air after the system purges, and the back tank is for the transmission and that is ok-has air. I have 450,000 miles on the truck so is it common to need a clutch and accuator now?

Mine had air leaks, somehow got so low truck thought it was in gear or something. Before mine got filled with air (from an air compressor on a service truck), it wouldn't crank without using a push button jumper on the starter. But once the air was in the tanks it was fine and all codes went away. Not saying it definitely is your issue, but I know on mine the air tank on the passenger side, there was a fitting that was losing air there. I don't remember seeing any check or pressure control valve. Someone else might have taken that off of mine before I bought the truck.

Thanks. I will have to find one. The shop said they replaced a fitting. Probably just the fitting that was leaking, where I presume the check valve should go. Glad it's not something more serious than that seemingly.

We are still troubleshooting this "check trans at next stop" while waiting for an appointment at Volvo (our appointment is March 28). Volvo says they are overwhelmed with Volvo "check trans at next stop" problems. Anyway.... I notice the air is at 120 and as soon as we put into gear the air goes down to 100. Is that normal? or suggestions? thanks Francis

2021 volvo Vnl 500k miles with Ishift. I broke down on the middle of the road In WY 25 miles before Cheyenne. The hose that goes from top of trans to clutch control valve broke.
So I got a roadside called they just added a 1/2 nylon air line hose with 2 quick fitting and I drove five miles and it broke again ( will be showing pics)the hose was nylon the tech told me it was stronger and better that what it already has.
But mechanic back home can't understand why the AIR pressure broke the hose again!
Can someone please tell me what could be the problem???
    Please I will appreciate your help I am still sitting for over 30 hrs now. 20240924_100006.jpg 20240924_102153.jpg 20240924_140126.jpg 20240924_144359.jpg 20240924_140304.jpg 20240924_100006.jpg 20240924_102153.jpg 20240924_140126.jpg 20240924_144359.jpg 20240924_140304.jpg

They came back they replaced with exactly the same type of hose they used at first. They told me it's just a quick fix to make it to the dealer. They said transmission is OVER PRESSURED that's why it's breaking the hose line. Any suggestions about why it would be OVER PRESSURED?

This trans has no ability to over pressurize anything it literally uses and exhaust air pressure from the truck so I call bs on overpressurizing maybe possible solenoid failing but still would not make anything over pressurized

Yes thank you so much it makes sense what you are saying.
What about the VALVE in the Airtank that goes into transmission do you think if it's failing would do that?
