Usually in a small shop like mine should be over 4K around 3500 to 3600 usually that is cups and injectors, volvo dealer could do it for under 5 just depends what they charge as far as labor and how much they want for parts, i would suggest taking it to dealer since these injectors are known for failing and it's better that way you have nationwide warranty

Guys if you wanna make those cups live longer don't let your motor get so hot .... Setup a manual fan switch and keep it cooler on pulls.

Volvo has way too high setpoint for FAN engagement.... Way too high. This causes excessive expansion and contraction in the head, causing cups to leak.

If you've noticed by the time the stock fan engages your temps will still be creeping up before it gets then to start coming down. Not uncommon to see localized temps in the heads over 220°F .... WAY too hot !!

I've wondered this for awhile now. Why in the world doesn't Volvo put a manual auto switch in their trucks. What do you think or anyone else about putting in a lower temperature thermostat.
